Dr. Tara Stoop is a Naturopathic Doctor licensed in the state
of California. She is the founder of Primary Naturopathic, an
affiliate of Berkeley Naturopathic Medical Group. She
received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the
esteemed Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington after
obtaining her Bachelors degree from the University of
California at Berkeley with a double major in Molecular &
Cell Biology and Integrative Biology.
Dr. Tara is a member of the American Association of
Naturopathic Physicians and the California Naturopathic
Dr. Tara’s practice at Berkeley Naturopathic Medical Group is a family practice with a special interest in pediatrics, women’s health and chronic disease. She utilizes nutrition, nutritional supplements, botanical medicine, homeopathy and other natural therapies.
Dr. Tara is passionate about educating and creating a partnership with her patients so that they feel empowered and capable of managing their health. She feels it is especially important to start the process at a young age in order to instill a value for health. She aims to promote a sense of balance in her patients lives and constantly strives for it in her personal life as well.
Dr. Tara has a daughter and a son, both born at home. She enjoys raising her children in her hometown of Oakland with her husband and constant companion of 14 years.
